National Recall Investigation

Hello, and thank you for visiting my GM Investigation Portal.

Recently, I publicly implored General Motors to issue a "Park It Now" order for recalled vehicles with defective ignitions until GM has the parts available to fix them. I am extremely concerned that these vehicles remain on the road. I have personally seen the faces of the victims of this recall and their families- the accidents, injuries, and loss of life connected to these vehicles.

What some victims are saying:

  • Ever since my accident I am petrified to drive again. When you buy a vehicle, you expect it to protect you. How could GM keep people blinded??? How can we trust GM again? They never told us something was wrong. If I had known about the problem I would have definitely gotten it fixed. Anyone who has a GM vehicle, I tell them to get it checked immediately. I sure wasn't protected like I thought I was going to be.

  • I was in an accident and hit a fence head-on in March 2013. My airbags did not deploy. I contacted GM to let them know but they gave me the run-around. I told them I thought there was something wrong with the car but they did nothing for me. I was having problems even before the accident…the car shutting down and not being able to steer while driving. I fractured my back and am still having constant pain. I do not want to drive this car because I don't think the airbags will work if I am in another accident but I cannot afford to get another car.

  • My family has been loyal to Chevy and GM our whole lives. They are the only company was have ever bought a car from. But I will never buy from them again and I would never recommend them to anyone. I tried to let them know that their car had a problem and they ignored me and gave me the run around. I am still suffering everyday and they do not care that they caused me such pain.

    Even if they fix my car and they claim the ignition switch is the problem, I am still afraid that my airbags will not deploy if God forbid I'm involved in another accident. I had no protection when my airbags didn't deploy, when I was in a major accident, my airbags did not open to save me.

    I am still afraid that there is something else wrong with the car that I don't know about. I don't want to die!

    I have had so many issues with my car. When I took my car to get fixed, I was told there were ten other codes and violations related to the car, including the ignition switch. I am just thankful to be alive.

  • I'm scared... I just told my sister that when I get in the car I'm like 'be careful, be careful'...I have always had problems with that car.

  • I will never buy another GM car, or vehicle that has GM parts. I don't trust them anymore. I don't know if ten years down the line there will be another recall on something else. I tell everyone I know that drives a GM to check their car out. I'm also afraid to drive my car with my children. Our activities these days have decreased significantly. I'm afraid that something is going to happen when I drive it. Now, I only drive my car when it is absolutely necessary, like when I have to go to work. I don't trust GM with my life or my children's.

  • I'll never again buy a vehicle from GM. They couldn't pay me to buy anything, not just a vehicle, but anything with the GM name. Never again. In fact, my whole family has KIA, and I can prove it. Never again.

  • I am scared to death to drive the vehicle since the airbags did not deploy when I was hit. I am afraid the airbags will not deploy if I am hit again. I can not afford to get another car that may be safer.

  • I had an accident in a recalled HHR and am stuck with this car. They are fixing it but I do not even want it back. My daughters and I were hurt and are still having medical issues two years later. I do not trust GM's cars and I do not believe GM will do the right thing for me or any of their customers. I don't think they were honest about what was wrong with their cars. I would never buy a GM car again and don't want to even ride in a GM car again.

Because GM has refused to voluntarily issue the "Park it Now" order and has continued to insist these cars are safe despite documented risks, I have filed an Emergency Motion in federal court to force GM to do the right thing. But I need your help.

On April 4, I will go before a judge to make the case that GM should tell owners to stop driving these cars until they are fixed. To do this, I will present to the court what I have found in my investigation of the recall.

So far, I have been shocked and horrified at what I have found. But my fear is that the information we have uncovered is just the tip of the iceberg. You may have additional information essential to this investigation.
